At Clark House, our hard work and efforts are rewarded daily by the patients and residents we serve. Not only are we thanked in person on a regular basis, we receive countless letters, poems and artwork showing appreciation.
A Love Poem to the Staff
(from two Clark House alums)
You made us feel so welcome --
we were hardly in the door,
you checked our vital signs each day
and gave us pills galore.
You brought computers, DVDs
and books to pass the time.
You offered cheese and crackers
though, sadly, not the wine.
You made our beds,
delivered mail
and hot, delicious meals.
You made us exercise until
the room was filled with squeals.
"Get the CPM to 90!"
was the goal we had in mind.
You made us laugh, encouraged us,
and were so very kind.
If surgery should come again
and leave us out of whack,
our sadness will be tempered
by the joy of coming back.
We'll spread the word so far and wide
your waiting list will grow,
the Clark House staff has shown us
there's no better place to grow.
We raise our mugs to tea to all of you!
With affection,
Karen M. and Elizabeth F.
